Dear Parents of Arabic 3 Students,
As Arabic 3 students continue their journey of communication at the
intermediate level this year, the time has come for the class to consider a
more authentic audience than the classroom often provides.
This Thursday, December 6, the class will practice acting with respect and
courage by engaging with Arabic speakers in London. We will visit
businesses along Edgware road to conduct interviews about Arab culture in
London.
The students will prepare by considering how they can engage in
respectfully and appropriately while maximizing their use of Arabic
language.
On Thursday, students should come prepared to stay warm and dry despite the
weather conditions (currently 40% chance of rain) as we move between
locations along Edgware Road.
Students will need an oyster card and either a packed lunch or funds for
lunch.
Please see the schedule below:
Depart from ASL: 12:45
Walk, then take the bus to Edgware Road
Begin interviews: 1:15
Depart for School by bus: 2:35
Arrive at ASL: 3:05
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Best,
Ruth
