ISST Swimming 2018 Information

Dear Varsity Swimming athletes and families:

You are embarking on what will surely be a memorable and enjoyable
competitive weekend in The Netherlands.

As you know, you are flying from Heathrow airport, and the bus to the
airport will depart from Loudoun Road on Wednesday at 09:30.  Your release
from class is 9:20 am, and you must attend this class.  DO NOT ask to leave
class before that time.

As with any school trip, safety is the number one priority.  In order to be
safe, one must obey the school rules and follow the guidelines for
traveling with groups.  As you’re aware, you will be housed by host
families at The American School of the Hague.

·           Housing arrangements made by the responsible official of the
host school may not be changed, so no requests will be granted.  Please
don’t ask.

.           There will be a strictly enforced curfew.

·           The ISST Tournament Rules will be in place.  These forbid the
use of alcohol, tobacco and unprescribed drugs, and also encompass the
nightly curfew.

We do not expect to have any transgressions of these rules, and please know
that any violations will be treated as serious disciplinary matters at ASL
and will result on your removal from the weekend competitions and from your
host family’s home.

Please make sure that your coaches have your mobile numbers, giving them to
them for emergency purposes.  You can expect to hear from your coach at
your host family’s home on the Wednesday evening.

All athletes will be in the care and presence of the host family, and no
one will be going out on their own with their student housers.
