Hi Anna,

Picture this—Vibrant leaves and famous caramel apples in the fall. Snowy, cozy dorm common rooms in the winter. Blooming flowers and a green grass quad in the spring. Outdoor movies and lake picnics in the summer.

Regardless of the season, Tufts is a great place to live. The Schools of Arts & Sciences and Engineering are located in Somerville/Medford, just 1 mile from Davis Square, and about 5 miles from downtown Boston. The SMFA campus is on the Fenway in the heart of Boston. Walking onto either campus feels like walking into a community—there are collaborative spaces like the chatter-filled Science and Engineering Complex <https://now.tufts.edu/articles/science-and-engineering-complex-gets-top-energy-ratings> and the SMFA's papermaking studio <https://smfa.tufts.edu/about/spaces-resources/papermaking>, and communal spaces like the always-bustling President's Lawn, the SMFA Art Gallery (always a gathering space), and the Academic Quad where paths cross between programs and people.

Beyond the Medford/Somerville and Fenway campuses, Tufts' close proximity to Davis Square and Boston means students have plenty of fun off-campus options: seeing movies, bowling, trying new restaurants, and catching a Red Sox game. And the greater Boston area provides plenty of access to research opportunities and internships.
