Your visit details

You have been booked into the following departmental talks for your visit:

2pm Academic Department visit: Modern Languages (Arabic, Comparative Literature, French, German, Italian, Persian, Russian and Spanish)

3pm Academic Department visit: Economics 

3pm Academic Department visits will generally finish around 4pm, with the exception of Biology department tours which will finish at 4.45pm.

Registration

Time: 9am to 11am
Location: Upper College Hall, St Salvator's Quad
When you arrive at registration, a student ambassador will talk you through your information pack containing your personal itinerary for the day. Early registration is advised to ensure you are able to take part in all the talks and tours you wish to see.

Welcome talk

Time: 9.30am, 10.00am, 10.30am, 11.00am 11.30am and 12 noon
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: St Salvator's Quad and Buchanan Lecture Theatre
You are advised to attend a Welcome talk after you have registered, where you will hear from Admissions about the University, accommodation, support and additional opportunities.

Lower College Hall stands

Time: 9am to 12.30pm
Location: Lower College Hall, St Salvator's Quad
Admissions, Accommodation, CAPOD (Centre for Academic, Professional and Organisational Development), Careers Centre, Chaplaincy, Finance, Library, Music, Sports, Student Services, and Your Union (Students Association) will be available to speak to in Lower College Hall.

Admissions staff and student ambassadors will be available to speak to in Lower College Hall from 9am to 4.30pm to answer your questions, give directions and any other information you may require.

University walking tour

Time: Every 15 minutes from 9.15am, the last tour will depart at 1pm.
Duration: 30 to 40 minutes
Location: Lower College Hall, St Salvator's Quad
These tours take you around the central streets and main University buildings of St Andrews before concluding at one of our halls of residence. The tour will incorporate information on the University’s history as well as student life and University traditions.

Study abroad talk

Time: 1pm
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: Buchanan Lecture Theatre
Learn about study abroad opportunities available through St Andrews and hear from a student about their experience.

BA International Honours programme talk

Time: 1pm
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: St Salvator's Quad
For those interested in studying the [BA International Honours](http://email.mail-eu.geckoform.com/c/eJwVjsGOhCAQRL9GbxgVEPbAYS77G5MGWu1ZhQlgiH-_mFQqVe9S5Y0Eq1fbk1lxlFZyJ0A5P6JQk4aJa64ll-CF7cSYK61l2DBggoK-340QHCdlvdXLCpNd5KJ_hHIa9azs6GV_mL2Ub-74q5t_m2qtQy4Mgk9Y8wBuuP4azpf9oCv5ieXyN4vfQjE8_dqaedwSIkvxKvjASsdBcLIT0s0-kUJpsE9mhZOOu13dkUIitw8utoX-xJxhwzd5o4R6y1mIf8wGUco) programme, our joint degree with the College of William and Mary in the USA. This programme is open to all students but the fees are not covered by SAAS or Student Finance England and Wales. In this talk, you will find out more about the unique programme and how to apply.

Student talk

Time: 12.30pm
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: St Salvator's Quad
University students will discuss their experience of studying at St Andrews. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about student life.

Library tour

Time: from 10am to 11.45am 
Duration: 15 minutes 
Location: Main Library
Library staff will give you a guided tour of the main library facilities.

Saints sports tour

Time: 10am to 12.30pm
Duration: 15 minutes (20-minute walk from St Salvator's Quad)
Location: Sports Centre
Sports is a vibrant and integral part of life here at St Andrews. Saint Sports staff will talk you through the vast array of sporting opportunities available to students and give you a tour of the sports centre facilities.

If you have any spare time in the afternoon there will also be the opportunity to see some of our Saints teams in competitive action.

Performance sport

Directors and Head coaches in a variety of performance sports may also be available at the Sports Centre during your visit (between 10am and 1pm). To set up a meeting and speak with our colleagues about a particular sport, please email Gary Brankin on gb50 at st-andrews.ac.uk.

Subject talks

Time: 2pm and 3pm
Duration: 50 minutes
Please attend your preselected subject talks detailed above.

Music

There will be opportunities to speak to staff from the Music Centre throughout the day as well as performances at lunchtime (free entry with your visiting day itinerary) and in the evening.
