Welcome to the winter athletics season

[Athletics ASL]

Good afternoon,

We've had a great start to the winter season, and I have observed lots of
great practices and games, and the teams seem to already be gelling in the
first few weeks.

Two quick things:

1)  Due to low attendance at Meet the Coaches last winter season, we are
piloting a season without MTC.  In place of MTC, families should receive
(or likely will have received) a letter from their students' coaches,
giving details of the season.  We hope this change will be a positive one,
where families get what they need without having to come into school at
such a busy time of year.  Please let us know if you have any feedback on
this.

2)  As you likely recall from the letter that went out to all HS families
in the summer

(please
read if you haven't), all sports that have teams that travel/host are
expected to host visiting athletes during the school year

That is, anyone participating in basketball, swim, or rugby is expected to
house visiting athletes.  Please email Pranay Dhanani to make an
appointment to do your DBS appointment and/or let him know which date

you're
available to house 2 athletes or more.
