Tuesday, 7pm - "Making the Most of Summer" Presentation for Gr.9-11 Parents/Guardians

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please join the AACC Office for a *"Making the Most of Summer"*
presentation on *Tuesday, January 8th, 7-8:30pm, in The Commons.*

The US academic calendar provides for a *long* summer holiday, and there
are many ways for high school students to use this time to explore new
interests and deepen existing interests, while also spending time
rejuvenating with their families and friends.

But ... Where to start?  What to do?  How do we encourage and empower
students to explore new ideas?

Join us for an interactive session in which we introduce many summer ideas,
jobs, internships, certifications, camps, culture, programs and just plain
fun.  We will also explore planning long-term with students in order to
continue the theme of "crafting your story."

*This will also be parents' introduction to the 2019 PCA WorkX program - a
unique to ASL summer internship program for high school students. *

We look forward to seeing you.  If you cannot make it, we will send home
the presentation with the next Weekly Bulletin.  *Note: there will be NO
Weekly Bulletin January 7th; the next one will be sent January 14th.  *
