U18 Girls Pre-Season Tour - Location, Itinerary, Cost

Hi all,

Does anyone object to a re-location for the pre-season tour from Scotland to Brussels?! Its quicker to get to and we will get more matches for the girls. We also have a few other HWHC teams travelling there that weekend so there will be a good club buzz :)

U11 Boys and U12 Girls will stay in the same hostel (different rooms) and we have six parent coaches attending, plus six spectating parents with those teams, so lots of adult supervision!

If anyone doesn’t have a passport please shout now!

Itinerary

Friday 30th August
1.30pm: Meet at St Pancras. Check-in for Eurostar.
3.04pm: Depart on Eurostar.
6.05pm: Arrive in Brussels. 25 min taxi to hostel.
7pm: Dinner close to hostel.

Saturday 31st August
7.30am: Breakfast at hostel (included).
8am: Depart for Royal Racing Hockey Club. 15 min taxi.
9am - 4pm: Tournament at Royal Racing Hockey Club.
4pm - 6pm: Shower / free time at Royal Racing Hockey Club.
6pm: Spectate HWHC Men’s / Ladies 1s vs Royal Racing Hockey Club.
7.30pm: Group dinner with Men’s and Ladies 1s.

Sunday 1st September
8.15am: Breakfast at hostel (included).
8.45am: Depart for Royal Wellington Hockey Club. 20 min taxi.
10am: Match vs Royal Wellington Hockey Club.
Afternoon: Additional match or other activity to be arranged. The hostel is next to tennis courts and a forest, so bring racquets / running gear if you want to.
5pm: Depart for station.
5.30pm: Check-in for Eurostar.
6.56pm: Depart on Eurostar.
7.57pm: Arrive at St Pancras. Go to bed.

Cost
Per player: £250
Includes: Eurostar, hostel (2 nights inc breakfast), tournament entry, taxis.
Doesn’t include: Lunch and dinner. As these meals will be eaten at hockey clubs / restaurants, please can the girls bring money for lunches and dinners.

Happy for payment in instalments or one lump sum. If paying in instalments, here is a guide for payment:
By 7th July: £100
