Message from your Grade 12 Parent Reps

Dear Grade 12 Parents and Guardians,





We hope this email finds you well.  We are writing for a few different
reasons:



1.    First, we would like to invite you to check out our Senior Parents
page, which can be found at http://www.asl.org/seniorparents (ASL login
required). There you can find information about upcoming events and a
variety of relevant information. We will also keep copies of our
communication with you there, so you don’t have to search your inboxes for
our messages. Please check it out, and let us know if you have any
comments, questions or suggestions. You can find our contact information
there as well.



2.    We would also like to bring the Baby Photo Contest to your attention.
As we mentioned in our previous message, this is an ASL Senior Class
tradition. Parents are asked to submit a baby photo and a current photo of
their Senior. On the first day after Winter Break, the baby photos will be
posted near Devan’s office for the official contest.



We have posted a link for you to submit your photos on the Senior Parent
page (have we told you that the address is http://www.asl.org/seniorparents?)
There are two ways for you to submit your photos:



   -

   If you click on the link on the Senior Parent page, you will be taken to
   a form which allows you to upload your photos. Unfortunately, you will be
   required to log into Google to be able to access the form. You can use your
   own personal Google account (ASL login credentials won’t work here);



   -

   For those who don’t have a Google account and don’t wish to create one,
   you can simply email your photos to us.



We are asking parents to submit their photos to us by Thanksgiving weekend.
This will give the event volunteers time to go through the photos, identify
any issues (i.e., corrupted files or unclear pictures) and resolve them, in
plenty of time to set them up for the event.



3.    Also, the Committee organizing parents’ support for the College
Fiesta has the following announcement:



It's College Fiesta time for ASL's seniors! Your Tex-Mex culinary talents
and volunteers are needed for the Senior College Fiesta during
Parent-Teacher Conferences Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24 and 25.



The seniors will be working on college applications in the Learning Commons
and, traditionally, parent volunteers provide a Tex-Mex-themed food menu
for snacks/light lunch (including gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free
options) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.



Additionally, a few volunteers are needed to help set-up, keep the area
tidy while the kids come and go for food, and, finally, for clean up each
day. Your help is greatly appreciated!  Please follow this link

4.    Finally, please mark the date for our Fall Parent Social on your
calendars. It will take place on Wednesday, 6 November, from 6:30pm to
8:30pm at The Clifton (96 Clifton Hill, NW8 0JT), which is a few minutes’
walk from ASL. We hope to see as many of you there as possible. An email
with further details will follow in a few days.
