Hello Senior Parents!

Just a reminder that Yearbook Senior Family Ads are due by the end of the
day tomorrow!

Thank you to all of those who have already submitted and approved your ads,
we really appreciate it.

Many have been sending in photos/text over the last few days, we are
sorting through all the emails and will get to work on your ads soon.

If plans have changed and you no longer have time to create the ad
yourself, please just send us all photo/text and we can work on it for you.

Please make sure you have completed the form
<https://www.asl.org/senior-family-ads> to indicate you would like an ad
for your senior, again this is voluntary and there is a cost to the ad. All
information can be found in my previous emails or on the form.

Hello Again Senior Parents,

I promise there will only be one or two more email reminders from me! For
those that have submitted the form and provided everything needed for the
ad, thank you! We are working on them now. Our final ad workshop is
tomorrow, Thursday at 8:05am for about an hour, use the form below to sign
up to attend the workshop.

Many of you have submitted the form, thank you. Please send along all
photos and text to us as soon as possible so we can begin working on the
ad.

For those that have selected to create the ad themselves. We are happy for
you to do so, but please keep in mind the dimensions of the ads (4.5" high
x 7" wide for a 1/2 page or 4.5" high x 3.25" wide for a 1/4 page). Many
families attempt to create the ads in powerpoint, this typically does not
work. If you are having problems or have changed your mind and would like
the yearbook staff to create the ad, that is fine. Again, just send along
the photos and text you want and we will happily put the ad together for
you.

Regardless of how the ad is submitted, please complete the form
<https://www.asl.org/senior-family-ads> to indicate you would like an ad
for your senior. This form is the best way for us to keep track of who
plans on purchasing an ad. The form also allows you to upload photos
directly or feel free to send them along via email.

Subject: Yearbook - Senior Family Ads


Dear Parents of Seniors,



Welcome back! Believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about things
like the Yearbook. In our planning of the yearbook we work on Senior Family
Ads first. Senior Family Ads are what fund the yearbook and are a lasting
memory and recognition made by the families to wish your senior well. The
ads are often composed of a current photo of your senior and/or baby photos
or photos from their childhood and anything you would like to share along
with a message from you. It would be great to have 100% participation in
this activity if possible, however there is a cost for each Senior Family
Ads which is: £100 for a ¼ page ad or £200 for a ½ page ad. Financial aid
is available to help with the cost of trips, extracurricular activities,
and yearbook ads in order to enable all students to benefit from these
programs.

This year, you have 3 options for creating your ad:

   1.

   Create the ad on your own according to the dimensions listed below.
   -

      Half Page ad: 4.5" (height) x 7" (width)
      -

      Quarter Page ad: 4.5” (height) x 3.25" (width)
      2.

   Have a yearbook staff member create the ad and send you a proof to
   approve the ad and make any necessary changes
   -

      The online form has layout options for you to choose from, we will do
      our best to use the layout you selected.
      3.

   To attend a Parent Ad workshop, please use the online form to RSVP for a
   workshop. We will be having Senior Family Ad Workshops between September 27
   - October 4
   -

      Monday, September 23 - 8:05am - 9:20am
      -

      Thursday, September 26 - 3:15pm - 4:30pm
      -

      Thursday, October 3 -  8:05am - 9:20am

*all workshop will occur in room P-101 (classroom in the art building)



IF YOU PLAN ON DESIGNING YOUR AD, PLEASE EMAIL THE COMPLETED AD TO US in
PDF or JPG FORM BY OCT 18th.



Again some helpful information:

   -

   Cost: £200 for 1/2 page and £100 for 1/4 page (you will be billed by
   accounts)
   -

   Size: 4.5" x 7" or 3.25" x 4.5"
   -

   Maximum One Ad per senior
   -

   The ad should include the Senior's name and one or more photos that you
   wish to be included along with a message.
   -

   Format: JPG or PDF
   -

   Photos MUST be PRINT quality (high resolution)


Families interested in financial aid for their ad should contact Ken Craig,
020 7449 1301 or financialaid at asl.org, in the admissions office.  ASL
welcomes all financial aid inquiries, whether or not the family currently
receives aid. All information is held in the strictest confidence.
