Dear Anna,

We know this is a busy and exciting time of year as you decide where to apply to college. If Columbia is your top choice, you may consider applying through our Early Decision program <http://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/apply/first-year/early-decision>. Here's what you need to know about applying Early Decision: 

	 Columbia's Early Decision application deadline is Friday, November 1. You may submit your application until 11:59 p.m., your local time. Visit our website for detailed application instructions <https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/apply/first-year>.
 
	 If your teachers or counselors are not able to submit your supporting materials electronically, they may send them via mail to our office at the address below or via email to ugrad-confirm at columbia.edu.
 
	 Our admissions process is need-blind for US citizens, eligible non-citizens <https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/glossary#Eligible_Noncitizen> and undocumented students. Early Decision candidates are eligible for the same generous financial aid <https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/affordable> as Regular Decision candidates. We will cover 100% of the demonstrated financial need for all students admitted as first-years.
 
	 If you plan to apply for financial aid, the Early Decision financial aid deadline is November 15, 2019. Meanwhile, use our 3-minute cost estimator <http://cc-seas.financialaid.columbia.edu/cost-estimator> to see how much financial aid you may be eligible to receive.
