Message from your PCA Grade 12 Reps

[PCA Grade Rep - Gr12]

Dear Grade 12 Parents,


We hope this message finds you well and off to a good start for the school
year. We would like to introduce ourselves (Robin Covey and Domingos
Romualdo) as your PCA 12th Grade Representatives.  We each have a 12th
grader and another child in High School at ASL.  In order to make it easier
for those of you who haven't met us to recognize us, we attach our picture
to this message.

Each year the Grade Reps email members of the ASL parent community to
gather comments, kudos or concerns on how things are going. Please contact
us if there is a topic you would like to bring to our attention; it may
range from an area of concern or confusion, to a program or an activity
which your child really enjoys. It is our goal to foster communication
between parents and the Administration and to ensure that the grade rep
program is effective and comprehensive.

We will hold our first meeting of the year with the HS administration on
Monday, 23rd September. If you would like us to share your comments or
feedback at that meeting, please get in touch with us by 19 September. Your
submissions are anonymous and presented on a confidential basis.

If you have no feedback or questions at this time, there is no need to
contact us. Please note that the Grade Rep program generally deals with
issues and concerns that are of a general nature or that apply to multiple
students. Individual problems or questions are usually best dealt with on a
one-to-one basis with the appropriate member of faculty or staff.

PERC Representative, Dima Fahkry, and Community Service Representative,
Julia Nilson, are parent members of our Grade Rep program as well.  They
participate in our meetings with the Administration and are available as a
resource to our parent community.  If you have any comments, kudos or
concerns for PERC or Community Service, please feel free to reach out to
your Grade Rep or directly to Dima (dima at fakhry.org) or Julia (
bnilson at yahoo.com).

We would like to highlight this week’s PCA Meeting (and volunteer fair) on
Thursday, September 12th, 8:30-10:30 am in the Commons. We hope to see you
there and look forward to working together with you to keep the lines of
communication open between parents and the High School administration.

Lastly, we'd like to let you know that we will organize a 12th grade parent
coffee/social this Fall.  We will be in touch with details.
