First League Wins

Thank you to all of the players who took part in matches today
and all of the parents who got them there!

Wins for U18 Girls & U14 Girls Robertson.
Draws for U16 Girls Whites & U14 Girls Calnan.
Loss for U12 Girls Blues (7).

A lot of players were incredibly supportive and embraced our "one club" ethos to play for different teams today, so a big thank you to them.

We have 13 matches involving 17 teams next Sunday so please make sure that you understand the fixture process (outlined below).
Pitchero

All fixture communication is via Pitchero;
please make sure all parents who need to receive information are registered.

Please check Pitchero for your child's allocated team.
There will be movement between teams throughout the season.

Teams that do not have league fixtures:
U6/7, U8 Whites, Boys U14, Boys U16, Girls U16.

(Fixtures are played on Sundays so only relevant for those attending Sunday training)

Selection process
Step 1
Make sure you know what team your child or children are in. You can check this on Pitchero.
Some players will be allocated to more than one team.

Step 2
Check when their fixtures are.
You can view fixtures for the whole season.
We will add location information 2 weeks ahead of a match or you can check future fixture details on Fixtures Live.

Step 3
Mark availability.
You will receive a reminder to do this 2 weeks before a fixture and the latest opportunity to confirm availability is 1 week before a fixture.
Further information for the match (location, meet time, kit) is on Pitchero in the match centre.
Please double check the date that you are confirming availability for; don't assume it is for the coming Sunday!

Step 4
Selection will be sent out on the Monday ahead of a Sunday fixture. It is likely that all available players will be selected.
You must respond to selection to confirm that the player will take part.

Step 5
A team sheet will go out via Pitchero with confirmation of details for the match.
You can use this message thread to organise lift shares.

Step 6
A final reminder will go out via Pitchero on the Friday ahead of a Sunday fixture.

If a player needs to pull out at any stage, please update availability on Pitchero and message the team so that everyone is aware.

Any drop outs past Friday cannot be replaced.

Please bear in mind that if you don't respond or drop out, you are taking a match opportunity away from another player who has not been selected.

If you are late or don't turn up at all, you are letting your team down.
Fixture Information

Timing
A fixture (match or tournament) is normally 1.5 hours.
The team will meet 30 minutes prior to the fixture starting.
Eg. Meet at 12.30pm for 1pm – 2.30pm match or tournament.
Timing will be confirmed for each fixture on Pitchero.

Venue
The team will meet at the playing venue at the allocated meet time.
Parents or guardians are responsible for getting players to matches and we encourage lifts shares between the team as much as possible.

Kit
For matches players should wear:
HWHC white playing shirt, navy shorts/skort, HWHC navy socks.
If players don't have club kit, any white top and dark shorts/skort and socks are fine.

Players must have a mouthguard, shin pads and a hockey stick
to take part in a match.
We do not take sticks to fixtures (we only have spares at Paddington Rec).
Midweek Training

A reminder that midweek training is open to all players!

Tuesday
5.45pm - 7pm
U14 Boys & Girls, U16 Boys & Girls

Wednesday
5.45pm - 7pm
U9/10 Boys, U9 Girls, U10 Girls
5.45pm - 7.15pm
U18 Boys & Girls / Junior Academy (fortnightly rotation)

Thursday
5.45pm - 7pm
U11/12 Boys, U11 Girls, U12 Girls

All midweek training sessions are at Paddington Recreation Ground.

Please try and collect players on time!
Most coaches have their own training session straight after juniors,
so please remind players to stay on the pitch until they are collected.

Mouthguards

Mouthguards are compulsory for ALL PLAYERS
for ALL TRAINING sessions and ALL MATCHES.
