Your MOT is now due during a very busy time
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Your vehicle SR16UAM is due for an MOT test on Monday 16 November 2020.
We’re expecting unprecedented demand for MOTs during September, October and November.
This is because some MOT due dates were extended by 6 months to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), and they’ll now be due during this time.
Your local MOT centre will do all it can to meet the demand for MOT tests. But it will be very busy.
Your test is currently due during peak demand. You may struggle to get a test date at your preferred MOT centre when your MOT is due.
You will not be able to use your vehicle if its MOT runs out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You can be fined up to £1,000 for driving a vehicle without a valid MOT.

What you can do
-----------------------------------------------------------------
MOT centres are open now for you to get an MOT.
Getting your MOT done before it’s due will help you beat the rush and keep your vehicle safe to drive.
If you get your MOT done:
• over a month before it’s due, your MOT renewal date for next year will change
• up to a month (minus a day) before your due date, you will keep the same renewal date next year
Example
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Your MOT is due on Monday 16 November 2020. The earliest you can get an MOT and keep the same renewal date for next year is Saturday 17 October 2020.
If, for example, you were to get an early MOT on 4 August 2020, your MOT renewal date for next year would become 4 August 2021.
If you do get an MOT from Saturday 17 October 2020, your MOT renewal date for next year will stay as Tuesday 16 November 2021.
=================================================================
Getting an MOT early may help you avoid the busiest period at your MOT centre.
Thank you
