** Public Health Updates
------------------------------------------------------------
CHRISTMAS IN TIER 4: We understand that for many residents Christmas will be very different as London remains in Tier 4 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/tier-4-stay-at-home?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=d8ad89df5a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-d8ad89df5a-40059651) . This means everyone should stay at home as much as they can. These stronger restrictions are needed as the virus continues to spread at a rapid rate.
The new restrictions mean that you cannot meet other people indoors over the Christmas period, unless you live with them, or they are part of your existing support bubble. Outdoors, you can only meet one person from another household. Other rules that need to be followed in Tier 4 are:
* You must stay home
* Work from home if you can
* You should not enter or leave the Tier 4 area
* You can meet one other person outside your household in an outdoor public space
* Communal worship is allowed if COVID-secure
A formal review of the restrictions will take place on Wednesday 30 December.

What do Tier 4 restrictions mean? Deputy Director of Public Health for Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea, Natalia Clifford explains how Tier 4 rules work and what we need to do.
GOT SYMPTOMS? GET TESTED: Testing is the most effective way to control the spread of coronavirus. Westminster is now offering two types of coronavirus testing:
* For people who have symptoms of the virus (a new persistent cough, high temperature or a loss or change in sense of smell or taste)
* For people who are not showing any symptoms (symptom-free testing)
Click here for full details of testing sites, Christmas opening times and how to book a test. NEW YEAR'S EVE: This New Year's Eve we're asking all Westminster residents, Londoners and visitors to celebrate safely by staying at home. In accordance to Tier 4 guidelines, you must not leave your home unless you have a specific reason, and you must not gather in groups, outside or inside. Remember, you cannot mix indoors with other households who are not in your support bubble.
Here's to seeing in 2021 safely.

Merry Christmas to one and all. After a challenging year, we join together in wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year.
WINDOW WANDERLAND IN WESTMINSTER: Last week, we hosted our first Window Wanderland event with festive displays offering a colourful COVID-safe art trail in Church Street, Ebury Edge, care homes and sheltered housing schemes around the city. Thanks to all the local schools who made fantastic artwork to spread some festive cheer in the community, including:
* Golborne Alternative Provision, TBAP Multi-Academy Trust
* Mary Paterson Nursery School
* St. Barnabas Primary School
* St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School.
Nivene Powell, from sponsors EcoWorld London, said: “Window Wanderland exemplifies the kind of community-led projects that we need most after an extraordinary year, bringing neighbours together to create a unique and uplifting public art trail for everyone to enjoy. EcoWorld London are proud to be supporting this fantastic initiative, which we hope will bring joy and cheer to the community of Westminster.”
