AP Calculus BC

Hi Isaac and Antonella,

I hope all is well with you. I just wanted to let you know that Anna
struggled (67%) on the first test in AP Calculus BC for this semester. I
have already discussed this with Anna. The downward trend of her grades is
concerning. In the first quarter she had an A average, in the second
quarter she had a B average and now she has dropped even more. I worry that
she was relying on her prior Calculus experience too much and as we move
into new material she is struggling because she is not staying on top of
her work and she is not being thorough in her preparation. Hopefully this
recent test is the jolt she needs to adjust her plan of action. I know she
is capable. I have already sensed a greater effort from her this week. I am
available outside of class if she ever wants any extra help. We can discuss
this more at the conferences coming up.
