ASL High School Yearbook Update

Dear High School Families,

As many of you may have heard from your child, we are not able to
distribute the High School Yearbook at the scheduled time, which would have
been tomorrow.  As our Editor-in-Chief stated in an email shared with
students a few weeks ago, "Yearbook distribution is a day which myself,
along with the Sojourner Staff, look forward to the most because we finally
get to share the book with all of you. It is an important moment where we
are able to unite as a community and reflect on all the good times we
shared together. Although we are very disappointed that we will not be able
to experience this, I am incredibly proud of the Sojourner Staff and remain
excited for you all to see the Yearbook."

The yearbook students worked incredibly hard to meet all deadlines and put
together an amazing book, but due to COVID-19 the yearbook publishing
company, Balfour was closed for 8 weeks. They are now up and running again
and working around the clock to print yearbooks, but as you can imagine
there is a backlog.

As we learned from a student survey conducted a few weeks ago, students
want to see the yearbook before August, so we will be posting a digital
version of the yearbook online soon which will be shared with students as
soon as we can.

We are hopeful that we will receive the printed yearbooks sometime in
August and will distribute them as soon as we can. If your child is a
senior or your family will not be returning to ASL, we will do our very
best to get a copy of the yearbook to each student.
