Emotional Resilience & Relaxing Meditation

During these turbulent times it's critical to tend to our mental and emotional health.
Join Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and WTBD Administrator, Megan
Fettig for a virtual wellness and relaxation session. We'll touch upon brain and
 nervous system science to learn about physiological effects of emotional escalation
and dysregulation. Then grab your pillow, blanket, and eye mask as we settle into
a guided relaxation meditation! Empirical evidence shows that somatic awareness 
activities such as body scans help us to decrease anxiety and stress and increase
our overall sense of relaxation and well-being. Let's take good care of ourselves
so we can best care for others!

Megan is an educator, administrator, counselor, and guide and has  been a part of
Where There Be Dragons since 2005. In her current role as Co-Director of Adult Programs,
she has found herself inspired by witnessing adult travelers slow down and reconnect
with themselves in ways that are difficult in day-to-day life. Megan also runs a
 small private counseling practice and specializes in working with young adults 
in the midst of transformative cross-cultural experiences.
