We are moving our coach training online and share an update on what we have been up to recently.

A message from the Connections in Mind Foundation Director

Hello everyone,

I hope you and your families are well and you are not going stir crazy having to juggle the demands of working at home, possibly looking after children/homeschooling, and trying to stay calm in this crisis.

We are all thinking of you in this unprecedented, historical moment.

Never has there been a time when our executive function skills have been more keenly challenged. The skills to manage our reactions, our emotions, to plan, prioritise and to work independently read like a job description for quarantine.

Just as your lives were turned upside down, so was our work. We adapted to this world of self-isolation and physical distance by launching our EF coach training and parenting support online.

This is new because closeness, connection and relationships are so important to us. The start of the year almost felt like a tour of Britain as we visited schools and organisations across the country.

All of that activity was made possible by everyone who supported our crowdfunding campaign. We raised £2781and will keep you posted about what we achieve with your support.

We hope that the new online courses help you navigate this moment when children's education is most tested. Your support for our work is what makes us tick.

WE ARE MOVING OUR COACH TRAINING ONLINE

OUR UPCOMING EXECUTIVE FUNCTION COACH TRAINING WILL BE DELIVERED ONLINE

We are all effected by Covid-19 and have had to adapt. The Connections on Mind Foundation will be delivering our upcoming executive function level 1 coach accreditation training online. We have delivered courses online many times before and we feel confident about ensuring the course is still a very high quality training.

We will be running the course twice in April. One course will run for three consecutive days and the second will run for a series of evening sessions over a two week period. We are also looking into putting another course on in May if there is enough interest.

FUNDRAISING UPDATES

The Fun-do Fondue fundraising event at Brighton College was a huge success.

On Friday 14th Feb one of the houses at Brighton College turned their venue into an alpine chalet and had a fondue fundraising party in aid of the Connections in Mind Foundation.  They raised close to £3,500. We are so grateful for their support and look forward to sharing you more updates about the projects that these funds will allow us to deliver.
