Dear ASL Class of 2020 and families,
In this folder
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vrjlNsRG1VkZYuY-9tmmykP9Vz30GpET?usp=sharing>,
you will find three projects (for the slideshows, hit the "present" button
in the top right corner for the full screen view):
* The ASL Class of 2020 Thank You video

* The ASL Class of 2020 -- In the Eyes of Others slideshow

Seniors, you have seen the first two, so this is more for your families.
They are all compiled in this folder so that you can store it and hold onto
it as a keepsake. The account on which this is stored will not be available
much longer, so I suggest downloading it by the end of June. There will be
two other additions to the folder, but they will come after our Senior
Celebration on Tuesday evening.
The new one is the *ASL Class of 2020 -- In the Eyes of Others
slideshow, *which will
hopefully mean the most because not only does it start with the Tube Photo
that Emilie and others helped create, but each slide is a tribute to you
from your peers. Thank you to everyone who helped with the creation. This
is how you are seen, and this is your impact on the ASL community.
This is particularly important now. In a time where people all over the
world are prevented from necessary resources to live, marginalized for what
they represent, and killed for what they look like we need, more than ever,
people who will be good friends and allies. We need more people who will
stand firm in their conviction and fewer who shrink into apathy. We need
people who genuinely care about others, and choose to act accordingly.
Hopefully you will take some time to read through these profiles, and see
just how valuable and impactful each one of you can be. You are respected,
appreciated, and loved. You have the ability to do tremendous good for an
individual friend, a small group, and a large community.
You have been provided the basis of an education that will hopefully serve
you and others well far into the future. When you are challenged, in your
most trying times, please open this folder, scroll through your own
individual comments as well as those of others, and remember your
potential. Your words and actions have tremendous power, both positively
and negatively. They can equally build up and tear down individuals and
communities alike.
You'll be receiving a more logistical email with a few reminders about the
personalized graduation on Wednesday - Friday. For now, hopefully you enjoy
the sun, the warmth, and each other. *We will start Senior Celebration
promptly at 4:00 pm this Tuesday. Here is the Zoom link.

(Meeting
ID: 914 7753 4230; Passcode: 700852)*. We will watch two videos, listen to
Margot and John's speech, and spend the majority of time continuing to
appreciate and celebrate each other. Sorry parents, this one is for Seniors
only. We will all be back together for the community-wide graduation on
Saturday, 6 June.
Sincerely,
Mr. Hauck
