** National Restrictions
------------------------------------------------------------

STAY SAFE THIS WEEKEND: While national restrictions are in place, please minimise time spent outdoors and only leave home for specific purposes (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) such as shopping or exercise.

If you are outdoors, please remember to:
* wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds
* wear your face covering in enclosed spaces
* keep a two-metre distance from people you do not live with

More information about the national restrictions (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) .

GOT SYMPTOMS, GET A TEST: If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell), you must immediately self-isolate and get a test.

Testing is most effective within three days of symptoms developing and anyone with symptoms can get a coronavirus test, whatever their age.

Our semi-permanent, walk-through testing centres are open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm. Find the locations here (https://westminster.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a50c8b0dd980669ef713b4cca&id=726264d3d9&e=7f8f665642&utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) .

A mobile coronavirus testing unit will be available on North Carriage Drive in Hyde Park on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November from 10.30am until 3.30pm.

A test must be booked in advance by calling 119 or on the NHS website (https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) .

PARKS AND OPEN SPACES: Our parks, green spaces and playgrounds (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/my-parks/?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) remain open for walking, running, cycling or just to get some fresh air.

Remember, you can exercise or visit outdoor public places with people you live with, your support bubble, or one person from another household.

Children under school age and those dependent on round-the-clock care who are with their parents do not count towards the two-person limit. ** Council Updates
------------------------------------------------------------
“Happy Diwali to all our friends and residents celebrating in Westminster. The festival of lights celebrates hope and light over darkness, an inspiring message we need this year more than ever.” – Cllr Rachael Robathan, Leader of Westminster City Council.

A prayer from Jai Nitai dasa, Temple President at ISKCON-London:
“May this Diwali offer you hope. May a clear path be lit to guide you out of the darkness. And may you and your loved ones connect with the eternal supreme flame and may the spark of that connection kindle into a deep and everlasting faith that sees you through these troubling times.”

CELEBRATING DIWALI: We understand that celebrating this holiday will be a different experience this year and that celebrations with extended family and friends will need to be virtual. Some residents may let off fireworks in their private gardens. Please follow all safety measures, including not storing fireworks in your home or communal areas. It is illegal to let off fireworks in the street or a public place, or after 1am on the night of Diwali.

If you have any concerns, please call the police on 101. In an emergency, always call 999. Visit London Fire Brigade’s website (http://www.london-fire.gov.uk/safety/fireworks/?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=aa7fbe42d3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-aa7fbe42d3-40059651) for more information.
