DON'T FORGET YOUR FACE COVERINGS: Please remember to cover your mouth and nose when you're in places where it’s hard to stay away from other people you do not normally meet:
* When wearing a face covering, do not touch the front of the face covering, or the part that has been in contact with your mouth and nose.
* Once removed, store reusable face coverings in a plastic bag until you can wash them. Wash your face covering regularly and follow the washing instructions for the fabric. You can use your normal detergent and wash and dry it with other laundry.
* If the face covering is single use, dispose of it in your waste bin.
* Make sure you clean any surfaces the face covering has touched using your normal household cleaning products.

Councillor Timothy Barnes visiting St Peter's Church of England Primary School

STUDENTS RETURN TO SCHOOL: Schools in Westminster are welcoming all pupils back from today, following the summer break and national lockdown.

Cllr Timothy Barnes, Westminster City Council Cabinet Member for Children's Services, visited St Peter's Church of England Primary School today and spoke to headteacher Sam Adcock to see how the children were settling in and to view COVID-19 safety measures in place.

Cllr Barnes said: "Sam, the headteacher, and her team, have worked incredibly hard to get the school ready physically - making changes to timetables and staff rotas to ensure things are as safe as they can be.

We want children back in the classroom as soon as possible for their education, physical health and mental wellbeing."

Headteacher of St Peter's Church of England Primary School, Sam Adcock, said: "We had a great day today and we've had great attendance. Everyone has settled in well and there's lots of fun and laughter throughout the school."

EAT OUT TO HELP OUT THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER: A number of restaurants and cafés across Westminster have chosen to extend the popular ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ Scheme throughout September. MySoho Place is one of restaurants that have extended the offer in welcoming customers back to shop and eat locally in Westminster and to enjoy the new alfresco style dining.

Dini the Manager at MySoho Place said:

“Our new outdoor tables and chairs have been great for business and have allowed us to reopen after lockdown and to welcome customers back this summer. The council’s al fresco dining scheme has not only created a really nice atmosphere in Soho and brought back the buzz to the area, it has also supported independent businesses such as ourselves to survive throughout these difficult times.”
If your business is planning to extend ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ then we would love to know. We're collating a list of restaurants which are going to be part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme until September. If you are extending your participation to the scheme, please fill your details here (https://airtable.com/shrsiExBEOvGMEW5C?utm_source=MyWestminster+Updates&utm_campaign=f6cf97b1ac-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_22_10_27_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bd2a0fcc47-f6cf97b1ac-40059651) and we will publish it on our website and marketing channels.
