** Redeveloping Ebury
------------------------------------------------------------
https://eburybridge.org/
NEW HOMES FOR EBURY BRIDGE: A project to build more than 780 high-quality, sustainable homes (https://eburybridge.org/) at a fully-redeveloped Ebury Bridge Estate has been approved by our planning committee. More than half of the new homes will be affordable, with the plans including the development of 239 council homes (https://committees.westminster.gov.uk/documents/s41614/ITEM%2001%20-%20EBURY%20BRIDGE%20ESTATE%20EBURY%20BRIDGE%20ROAD%20LONDON%20SW1W%208PX.pdf) .

The development will enhance public spaces and create a sense of community
The environment is at the heart of the Pimlico development, with the newly-built homes using 90 per cent less carbon than at the existing estate, and ‘grey water recycling’ being used to supply water for everyday household functions. The estate will also be almost entirely car-free (with disabled car parking only and 2,000 cycle spaces), encouraging pedestrian and cycle transport, while reducing air and noise pollution in the area.

Residents are at the heart of the scheme with continuous consultation being a key part of the development process
A new community hub, high-quality public squares and green spaces, the planting of 270 new trees, flowerbeds and plants, and an extended high street with new local shops, cafés and a flexible workspace are also included in the project. The aim is to forge natural havens for the local community and to increase biodiversity throughout the area.
More information can be found at the Ebury Bridge Estate website (https://eburybridge.org/)

SUPPORT DURING LOSS: The loss of a loved one is always difficult, but for many, the pandemic has made it a particularly distressing time, changing the way that funerals can be carried out. Funerals are currently limited to 30 people, with 15 people at a linked ceremonial event. Please remember to follow social distancing guidelines when attending a funeral, wake or ash scattering. It is advised that all attendees take a symptom-free test (rapid lateral flow test) beforehand to reduce the risk of spreading infection.
While this may be different, staying safe is vitally important as we follow the roadmap out of lockdown. Support and advice for those who are grieving is available on our website (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/birth-and-death-certificates-marriages-and-citizenship/register-death) .

CENSUS – YOUR VOICES STILL COUNT: If you are a resident living in Lancaster Gate, Bayswater, Bryanston and Dorset Square, and St James’s then we want to hear from you!
If you have yet to complete the survey, or if you are second-homeowner but have not included your Westminster properties, you still have until Tuesday 4 May to take part.
It is important that as many residents as possible complete the census as the data we receive helps us to plan local services for the next ten years.
