** Public Health Updates
------------------------------------------------------------
https://www.westminster.gov.uk/walk-vaccination-service-now-available-westminster
AGED 16 OR 17? GET VAXXED TODAY: If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can now walk in to any of our vaccine clinics in Westminster to get your COVID-19 vaccination. That goes for anyone else who still needs their first or second dose too. Find a vaccine centre near you (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/walk-vaccination-service-now-available-westminster) or check out our Vaccine Bus schedule (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/vaccine-bus) .
CHANGES TO SELF-ISOLATION: If you have been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days, or are under 18, you no longer have to self-isolate if a close contact tests positive for COVID-19. You now only need to self-isolate if you develop symptoms or test positive for the virus. If you are in contact with someone who has the virus, you should still take a PCR test as soon as possible, regardless of whether you have been vaccinated. If you are over 18 and not fully vaccinated, you must continue to self-isolate if a close contact tests positive. Find out more about COVID-19 testing in Westminster (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/covid-19-testing) .

COVENT GARDEN NEIGHBOURHOOD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROPOSALS: We are working with the London Borough of Camden to deliver a Neighbourhood Traffic Management (NTM) scheme in Covent Garden. The scheme aims to enhance the area for residents, businesses, pedestrians and cyclists by reducing traffic, cutting carbon emissions, improving air quality, and encouraging cycling and walking. We’re inviting local people to give feedback on the proposed changes. Visit Commonplace for full details and to give your views (https://coventgarden.commonplace.is/) .

CONSULTATION ON AL FRESCO SCHEMES: The temporary measures that supported al fresco schemes during lockdown end after 30 September and road closures will cease. We are consulting with residents and businesses, on an area by area basis, to make sure their voices on this issue are clearly heard and any future schemes would only go forward with resident agreement. If you live or work locally, we would like to know your views. You can have your say and see a full list of potential schemes here (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/businesses/coronavirus-helping-hand-businesses/temporary-al-fresco-schemes-road-closures-or-barriers) .
FULL FIBRE BROADBAND FOR WESTMINSTER HOUSING: State-of-the-art full fibre broadband is being installed into Westminster Housing properties, following an agreement between the Council and the G.Network. The rollout is expected to reach more than 1,800 buildings, encompassing nearly 20,000 flats, during the next three years, further boosting Westminster’s reputation as a broadband leader amongst London councils.

DO I NEED A LICENCE? From 30 August, landlords will require an HMO (Houses in Multiple Occupation) licence for all house and flat shares with three or more tenants. Certain buildings converted into self-contained flats will also require a licence if more than a third of the flats are rented. We are here to help property managers and landlords who are affected, so please get in touch with us if you have questions about whether you need a licence and how to get one. Find out if your property requires a licence and apply (https://www.westminster.gov.uk/houses-multiple-occupation) .
