A school year for (re)connecting

It’s not just our Eagles we’re welcoming back to One Waverley Place this September. The 2021-22 school year sees the return of fall sports, a full music program, on-campus events and more. Alumni parent profile: Alison LeMaire P ’12 ’14 ’17

After nearly 20 years in London, Alison and her husband moved back to New York as empty nesters. The nest filled back up during COVID, when Charlotte, Henry and Nicolas could thankfully work or study remotely while quarantining with their parents. For Alison, post-ASL life has been a busy but rewarding chapter, devoting much of her time to the Administration for Children’s Services in New York as a medical practitioner for kids in crisis.

Calling all Eagles from the Classes of 2011-21! Alumni events are re-launching, and we want to see you back on campus for the YAR on Wednesday, 12 January. Congratulations to Jesse Bandeen ’14, who became engaged to Walker Henderson, her partner of five years, while visiting London in August. Jesse is earning her MBA at UPenn’s Wharton School in Philadelphia.

Author Brett Dakin ’94’s latest book, Daredevil: Comics, Communism, and the Battles of Lev Gleason, traces the rise and fall of a former publishing titan with a bent towards activism who was a “real life comic superhero,” as well as Brett’s great-uncle.

Rondi Frey ’73 recently joined Yale University’s ‘organizational effectiveness and staff development team’ as the senior learning and development consultant. She and her husband have four grandkids. Rondi encourages any classmates in Connecticut to look her up!
