5 Questions for Matthew Horvat, ASL’s next Head of School

On 26 October, the Board of Trustees announced its unanimous decision to appoint Matt Horvat as the next leader of the American School in London, effective 1 July 2023. A talented educator who has built a career at schools in the US and abroad, most recently as a head at Redmond, Washington’s Overlake School, Mr. Horvat will bring a wealth of experience (and a raincoat) to One Waverley Place.

This month, Evan Carlson ’01 attended the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP27 in Egypt. Evan leads media and external affairs on climate work at the World Wildlife Fund. He and his wife stay busy raising their two young children outside of Washington, DC.
