If you’re on a meter, fixing dripping taps and leaky loos could save you money on your water bill.

Make every drop count

If you’re not on a meter, using less water still saves on energy costs. Shortening showers to four minutes could save a typical household as much as £95 a year.

Switch off appliances

Pop your washing machine on for one less cycle a week (and wash your other loads at 30°C) to save around £34 a year. Switching devices off standby could save an extra £65 a year too.
