New Suspects in Breast Cancer Identified

Researchers from Université Laval and the University of Cambridge have identified new genes linked to breast cancer after analyzing the genetic data of over 240,000 women. This groundbreaking study revealed at least four new risk genes and potential evidence for others.

These findings could lead to more precise risk assessments, improved screening methods, and better treatments. The vast dataset, including participants from eight countries, makes this the most extensive study of its kind. Before clinical application, further validation of these findings is required.
