ASL Speakers Series presents the film, Ailey
Tuesday, 28 November

Wine and cheese reception: Mellon Library, 8:45 pm

Join us to watch Ailey , a 2021 documentary, directed by Jamila Wignot. The film follows the life of Alvin Ailey, an American dancer, director, choreographer and activist who founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater <https://bbox.blackbaudhosting.com/webforms/service/page.redir?target=https%3a%2f%2fwww.alvinailey.org%2f&srcid=50634424&srctid=1&erid=-1453310893&trid=3f1a1e05-dc98-4014-b475-b8656a78717d>, a haven for nurturing Black artists and expressing the universality of the African-American experience through dance. The film is rated PG-13. Adults in the community are invited to a wine and cheese reception in the Mellon Library following the movie
