OUR FIRST EV BOOKABLE LOADING BAY: New bookable bays are launching in Abbey Orchard Street and Russell Street near the bustling shopping and business districts of Victoria Street and Covent Garden. This is a first for London and will enable EV LGV and EV HGV drivers to pre-book loading and unloading space in advance for up to 90 minutes.

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR THE SCHOOL CLEAN AIR FUND: The adverse impacts of air pollution disproportionately affect young people, that is why tackling air pollution around our schools is a top priority. The Schools Clean Air Fund aims to financially assist nurseries and schools in Westminster to improve the quality of air surrounding them.

PREPARING FOR THE ELECTION: You are legally required to show photo identification (ID) when voting at a polling station at some elections. You will only need to show one form of ID, but it has to be the original version, not a photocopy. The name on your ID must be the same name you used to register to vote.

If you’ve been the victim of hate crime, if someone is in immediate danger or needs support right away, then dial 999. Hate crime can also be reported online, by 101 on the phone or at a police station.

PHARMACY FIRST: Community pharmacies can offer treatment for seven common conditions without patients needing to see a GP. Most highly trained pharmacists can now treat patients for earache, impetigo, infected insect bites, shingles, sinusitis, sore throat, urinary tract infections (UTIs) for women – without the need for a GP appointment. By expanding the services pharmacies offer, the NHS is aiming to help free up GP appointments and give people more choice in how and where they access care. Don’t wait for minor health concerns to get worse – think pharmacy first and get seen by your local pharmacy team.
