Two weeks left to give!

You might be tired of hearing from us, but there are only two weeks left until our Power of Orange Giving Day (3 December 2024!) and then we’ll be quieter again—we promise!

If you are no longer based in the UK and/or no longer have school-aged kids, you might have missed the government’s announcement regarding VAT on independent school fees here in the UK. As of 1 January, ASL will be shouldering ⅓ of the VAT bill imposed by the UK government in order to help share the cost for our families.

This is an unprecedented financial challenge for the School, but it’s one that we are confident we can meet with the collective generosity of the ASL community. By making a gift or pledge <https://bbox.blackbaudhosting.com/webforms/service/page.redir?target=https%3a%2f%2fbit.ly%2f3AwLYxN&srcid=56250395&srctid=1&erid=-1184123275&trid=428c6da4-dda2-4d74-a8be-e2dd59b86587> to the ASL Foundation’s Annual Fund on/by 3 December, you can help strengthen and secure mission-critical ASL programs, such as financial aid, in the face of difficulties posed by the introduction of VAT on tuition. This school year, nearly 16% of students receive financial aid packages that allow them to attend ASL—and, in turn, make it a better and brighter place.

If our community comes together over these next two weeks to make 500 gifts or pledges ( of any amount ), we will unlock a generous £100,000 challenge gift ! By contributing to the Annual Fund, you can help ASL meet this moment and support the next generation of Eagles.
