HELP SHAPE WESTMINSTER'S FLOOD MANAGEMENT STRATEGY:  With the recent heavy rainfall highlighting just how real the threat of extreme weather is, it's more important than ever to prepare for the future. Climate change is increasing the risk of flooding in our city, and we're taking action to help Westminster become more resilient in the face of these challenges. We are putting together a strategy to reduce the risk and minimise the impact of flooding, and want to know what you think.

MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS: That's why we've launched TrimTalk in Westminster. Raisa's Barbers, as well as those across North Paddington and Harrow Road, are being trained to provide a safe space for men to discuss their feelings. The programme is part of a wider council campaign to promote positive mental health and share services with residents who may need additional wellbeing support. Join us in breaking the stigma and supporting our community.

IMPROVING HOUSING SERVICES FOR YOU: Our Housing Service Annual Report outlines performance in key areas like repairs, communications, and safety, along with steps for improvement. Over the past year, we’ve opened new offices, introduced new teams, and enhanced support for vulnerable tenants. We're also increasing resident involvement and focusing on better repairs, complaints handling, and customer service.

ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO: Over 7,000 people took part in this year's Vitality Westminster Mile - including our very own Lord Mayor. A keen runner himself, the Lord Mayor completed a lap before pausing to chat with attendees and cheer on other runners. Speaking about the day, he said: “It was a wonderful occasion, welcoming everyone from experienced runners to families and casual joggers, all enjoying this iconic setting.”

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE NEW RSV VACCINATION? Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can cause lung infections like bronchiolitis, making newborn babies very unwell and causing 20,000 infants to need hospital treatment each year. If you’re pregnant, talk to your GP or maternity service to schedule your free RSV vaccination from 28 weeks of pregnancy to protect your baby against the virus.
