Jewish Book Week at 75

Join us for a landmark festival!

As we look ahead to 2026, we are preparing for something very special: the 75th Jewish Book Week.

We’re already hard at work on an anniversary festival that reflects the richness and depth of Jewish culture today, and this year’s programme will be bigger and more vibrant than ever before.

Alongside our core programme of conversations and debates, we will be offering offsite tours, musical performances, live cooking events, interactive experiences, and a joyful celebration of Purim - all designed to bring Jewish stories and creativity to life in new and unexpected ways. We look forward to sharing more with you in the weeks ahead.

To mark this milestone, I’m delighted to introduce our 75th Anniversary Fund. JBW has always depended on the commitment of its precious community, and we hope you will support us at this pivotal moment.

Your gift - of any size - will be matched by one of our generous supporters, helping us bring writers and readers together and ensuring that Jewish ideas continue to flourish for generations to come.

Thank you, as ever, for being part of our community.

Claudia Rubenstein,

Festival Director

Daniel Deronda

By George Eliot

Why do we love it?

As we launch our 75th anniversary celebrations, what could be more fitting than Daniel Deronda, one of the most remarkable novels in English literature. George Eliot’s visionary portrait of Jewish identity astonished her contemporaries and feels even more vital now. Her exploration of belonging and cultural vitality reflects perfectly the spirit of Jewish Book Week — a festival that explores the stories that have shaped us while embracing the richness and creativity of Jewish life today. That Eliot – an Englishwoman with no personal stake in Jewish life – approached this world with such empathy and imagination makes the novel all the more extraordinary.
