A NEW INITIATIVE FOR PLAYWRIGHTS

Celebrating 75 years of JBW

For 75 years, JBW has celebrated the stories that shape Jewish life. Now, we’re taking that legacy forward with the launch of our Jewish Playwrights Programme -  bringing new dramatists and daring new interpretations of Jewish life to the stage.

With mentorship from brilliant writers and directors, including Daniel Goldman, Mark Rosenblatt, Emma Jude Harris, Josh Azouz, Samantha Ellis, and Amy Rosenthal, we are truly excited for what lies ahead, made possible by the support of the Shoresh Charitable Trust.

And what’s more - there’ll be a special showcase of their plays at Jewish Book Week 2026...
