TELL US WHAT SERVICES ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU: Over the next four years, the council will lose £100m in government funding. This is a result of money being moved away from areas like Westminster to other parts of the country. The government has also asked Westminster to consider raising council tax above the usual 5% limit next year.
We will now review what this unprecedented cut in funding means for services, what savings we must make, and how much council tax will need to increase. Before any decisions are made, we need local people to tell us what services matter most and what choices feel reasonable.

PUTTING THE BRAKE ON DOCKLESS DUMPERS: This week, we began using highway powers to seize dockless bikes blocking pavements, crossings and key pedestrian routes in Westminster. Trained City Inspectors can remove bikes left by Lime, Forest, VOI and Bolt when they create a danger or major obstruction, including at dropped kerbs, bus stops, cycle lanes, school entrances, ramps or narrow footways. Seized bikes will be transported to a secure council storage facility, with operators required to pay removal and storage costs before collection.
If you see a dumped bike, please report it here! (https://westminster.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a50c8b0dd980669ef713b4cca&id=30a317b258&e=7e37558eca)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WESTMINSTER’S LICENSING POLICY? We’ve launched a consultation on our revised Licensing Policy, and we want to hear from you! This policy forms the way we balance a thriving day, evening and night-time economy with the safety, quiet enjoyment, and wellbeing of our residential communities. Specifically, it regulates how alcohol sales, live entertainment, and late-night food venues are managed across Westminster. Your feedback will directly shape how our neighbourhoods grow.
