He has taught at Harvard and at MIT, where he was the first person to receive a dual faculty appointment in science and the humanities. His <em>Searching for Stars on an Island in Maine</em> was published in March.<br>

<strong>Richard Dawkins</strong> is an ethologist and evolutionary biologist. An emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, he was the University of Oxford's Professor for Public Understanding of Science from 1995 until 2008. His books include <em>The Selfish Gene</em>, <em>The Blind Watchmaker</em> and <em>The God Delusion</em>.</span></font><br>
