I hope you caught up on sleep and got to spend some time with friends and family. I hope you also were able to - no matter whether the holiday is your own or not - enjoy a spirit of gratitude.<br>I must confess… my family went to see “Hamilton” on Thanksgiving Day and there were few dry eyes in the theater at the end, especially in my particular row of seats. This was my first Thanksgiving without all my children in the house and while it was fun to see the photos and texts from my family abroad, it didn’t quite feel right either. I don’t think I knew that “homesickness” could come in so many forms, but I am also grateful for the technology that allows us to cross boundaries and oceans in an instant!<br><br>This week, we have two advisory meetings set aside. Next week, advisors will be setting aside some time to help you preview some summer opportunities and then on December 11th the week of finals, Ms. Thompson will lead us through a Pocket Talk (and practice) on meditation as a whole class. <br> <br>Now is a good time to get your calendars organized for the push to the end of the term. Also, juniors, you should make sure you at least introduce yourselves to your college counselor and maybe even set up a meeting for next term if they have time to set that up with you (before your parents meet together with you all.) More information about what to have prepared is coming from Ms. Richardson and “Maia”.
