Simply looking through the hair can be ineffective, as lice are tiny, fast and difficult to see, especially in the early stages. If you want to do a thorough check, apply conditioner to wet hair and comb through with a fine-tooth/nit comb over a white paper towel/cloth. If you do find that your child has head lice, please treat your child and inform the school nurses, in confidence, to allow them to monitor the situation. </span><a href="http://email.mail2.veracross.com/c/eJxVVE2vgkoM_TX37rgZGGBg4QIQVD5EQEXYkAFGRD4HBNRf__QtXvLSpkl7mjZpek6-YjNREOHvnCU9GcauTUiDyzrpq5Ug8FCWwe9tlXKIBxJO5ZTl5Y9JGLMcwGImc7xMZPRbr26PR_8DlR_O-Pi_I_6-gf-byYCzoRvHv6xrPlj2xc3nuaqmmd6Vk98m-yyK-vqwi1xFO6zhS4sMvelNjwaWvtNcOs-w2-5Ra9YCKxEGjuDUtZpqaf6d22MZg67r4-CyI6x00qnfB_klPB29p1G8sHHWw76rtcYMSuNGu3em6SKoqxffu6PIdFd8AJ0EEma-3RL1-YaDtgF6CFBPbck5DDV9ZdO9k4lh4kuLg7ydJvaQqYC5L2k-Rdc7DLij451VJWZSbWh1J_dSK6roRIbaX07WTs6v5d3KWKdFvFVZXlktbS7Onjh4GmM2jnSRk1R3JSLuWjUNA4aFKIc9gBe2kWjcG9LgIUR3wXYj3zQknEfzLGvl3Xu7hywUWB7Tm_jEp_gWC2o0VXV3b_zjRNUHiu1inQ9iqEJrElLtpvJ9ycDzNhUk_XIy6UneZBevjye-CM5IsecbExTyvABlTl2U2imxJp_nX5iiPaiBvjxhe-Aaol-WRmLuButufBgkuT95TM2dP-dmF1PktD0N7fPxXWQ20RiC6BiWUF7K5bpXN9SSUU_y6ViboLGOF3V3hz7DOuYgCK--f7Oc8Dy07pqwG6nkFtaavEHOtTTMYjLbaO_lk1sUxy0MWisweYXOxVST0X_e8syYt0diH9E5RHt7vuoKEz0xY7wiLt3Kn5WVM0TbqbIGzMrl29YT-_QYNkurCcgdH9t8NxEMzAztKZuso4nM4YY9noHVtTDX1hvnpOeq-H7uUdfINHML58lMFtZhssWwgscXUsEILjGhe6kr1nGlGF4c-Y7mXF-hki_u3XE0wD_I0jdMJ1nzQPuEGTlcplJNoqqnpuVfT8KuBNeSSUU2hq_WuOSCfRAebRJivtsI6ySwi0j5LVccYCUWcJ8PEBAv_bF_ko4UDsrrtWjwX_b-8OBLQu7_JPwdVjjHTZJ2bVu2xaNrP314rP-6ofjqQFaXpH2sPpVv9p8ciFDgpX8A7wdfww"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Read more about head lice.</span></a></span></span></span></span></p> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <table align="center" width="640" class="main" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr> <td> <table width="640" class="main-background" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" bordercolor="#FFFFFF" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="center"> <tr> <td style="padding: 10px 20px" class="main-padding" align="center" valign="top"> <table border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="100%" align="left" class="column-table"> <tr> <td valign="top" class="leftColumnContent" align="left" style="text-align: left; line-height: 22px; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; color: #3f3f38;"> <h1 style="text-align: left; margin: 0px; font-family: Arial; font-weight: bold; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; color: #f47a20;" width="100%"> LOWER SCHOOL REMINDERS </h1> <p style="text-align: left; margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; line-height: 22px; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; color: #3f3f38;"><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style=""><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br></span><span style=""><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>BEFORE SCHOOL</strong><br>Grade 1-4 parents are reminded of the following procedures for students before school begins:</span><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Grades 1-2: Students go directly to Marlborough Place upon arrival at ASL. Together, we’ll read Dickens' <em>A Tale of Two Cities</em>, a quick and fun read. We are perfectly situated to take in 1790s London (assisted by a Blue-Badge guide) and Paris through the eyes of one of England’s most famous novelists. The trip (priced separately) will be led by a professor from Roehampton University, who specializes in connecting French Revolution Paris with Dickens’ novel. In Paris, Antoine de Meux, a novelist of the Revolution and commentator in historical documentaries in France will take us to his favorite Revolution sites. We’ll read the bit of Wordsworth’s <em>Prelude</em> that speaks of the Revolution, look at Simon Schama’s <em>Citizens’ Chronicle of the French Revolution</em>, and read two letters written at the time by Helen Maria Williams. The trip to Paris takes place Thursday–Saturday, 28-30 March. Classes run on Wednesdays, 27 February to 10 April, 10 am-12 noon, at St. Mark’s Church, Hamilton Terrace NW8.
