*High School Parent Teacher Conferences*

*Your assigned timeslot is Thursday, 8 February 2018, 12:30 – 4:00 PM*

The High School check-in desk will be open from12:15PM in the School Center
Foyer where refreshments will also be served. For your convenience, the
High School teachers will be seated at their desks at 12:30PM.  They will
remain in the blue gym and commons until 4:00PM. Consider attending
conferences near the start of your designated appointment time in order to
give yourself plenty of time to meet with teachers.

During the above assigned timeslot, you are welcome to meet with your
child’s teachers in any order. If a teacher you wish to see is conferencing
with another parent when you arrive, you may wish to:

a.      Wait in the seating area near that teacher until the teacher
becomes available

b.      Leave that teacher and go to another teacher who is free

c.       Leave that teacher and go to a teacher who has a shorter line,
returning to the original teacher once that line has shortened

d.     It’s best to meet with your child’s advisor after you have met with
all of their teachers

*In preparation for the event, a few suggestions and reminders:*

·         We want to know what is on your mind. We can talk at length about
your child's learning, but this event will be most productive and helpful
if you come to the conferences ready to let us know what specific questions
or concerns you have about your child's learning.

·         You should be able to meet with all of your child's teachers, but
in order for this to happen we will need to keep individual conferences
under ten minutes. If a conversation requires more time, we encourage you
to set up with the teacher a follow-up email, phone call, or appointment to
continue the dialogue.

·         While information regarding current grades will be available,
please know that any grades reported either exactly or approximately are *in
progress*. There is a considerable amount of time remaining in the second
semester before semester grades are recorded.
