AN OPEN DISCUSSION ABOUT THE COVID-19 VACCINATION: Have you heard different stories about the UK’s vaccination programme? Concerned about the types of vaccines used? Worried how much each one has been tested? Westminster City Council would like to invite you to a frank and open discussion about the vaccines and hear any concerns you may have – there’s just two days left to register to get your questions answered.

CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH WEEK: Westminster City Council is proud to be supporting Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week, recognising the importance of children and young people's mental health.
This year's theme is all about sharing ways of expressing yourself and we've got some suggestions below about how young people can do this through art, learning about the creative industries or even kick starting a career with an apprenticeship. Find out more below!

DEADLINE EXTENDED – JOIN THE WESTMINSTER CREATIVE COLLECTIVE: Are you a budding artist aged 18 or under? Found your creative flair over the past 12 months? Live or go to school in Westminster? Then have your work exhibited through the Westminster Creative Collective!
Later this year, Westminster City Council will be hosting a series of exhibitions from young people aged 18 or under detailing your experiences of 2020. Whether it was your experience of lockdown, the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement, life in your local community or a new-found sense of hope and resilience, we’d love to share your work for all of Westminster to see.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to 31 March, so whether you’re a painter, poet, photographer or are just trying your hand at something creative, get in touch with the team for your chance to feature – with finalists’ work being exhibited at the world-famous Saatchi Gallery!

BUILD THE FOUNDATIONS OF A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION: The Westminster Employment Service continues to work with construction companies across the City to support local residents getting jobs and apprenticeship opportunities in a variety of trades.
Over the coming months, the team will be recruiting for many new opportunities. With competitive salaries for jobs starting at the London Living Wage (£10.85 per hour) and apprenticeship opportunities from £8.25 per hour, you could benefit from:
* Apprenticeship opportunities in trades such as Mechanical & Electrical, Bricklaying, Plumbing, Carpentry, Administrative and Engineering.
* Ongoing in-work support and offers to be paired up with experienced mentors.
* Support with career progression provided by a dedicated employment coach.
Please note these ongoing opportunities are ring-fenced for Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea residents only.

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION FUND – FINAL WEEK: There’s just one week left to apply for funding from the Community Contribution Fund. The City of Westminster Charitable Trust is offering grants of up to £20,000 for community-focused projects that benefit residents in Westminster in the following areas:
* Youth support
* Helping rough sleepers off the streets at night
* Helping lonely and isolated people
The Community Contribution Fund is made possible by the generous donations of Westminster residents who have chosen to give more to their local community on a voluntary basis.
